Tansi, Muriel - don't meet very many people that live in Youbou, BC. I spent a lot of my childhood living there with my Mom, Aunties and Uncles - they migrated there to work in the Mill back in the '40s - wonder if we know mutual people. Nice to see you here - :D (Mrs.)

The picture is of Tony and Muriel King at our Cherokee wedding in Tennessee 2001. My husband was Cherokee. The staff Tony is holding is a Cherokee wedding stick.

I am a Metis Elder. I keep very busy doing leather work and beading. I have spent a lot of time teaching others my crafts
as my father taught them to me. I am a widow and have 4 children and 14 Grandchildren.
Metis Family History:
My Father was Metis. Algonquin -Ojibwa.He was born close to Dauphin Manitoba and my Mother was from Scotland. I grew up in Victoria BC with lots of close contact with my native family. I have spent time learning the crafts from my Dad and others.
Metis Interests:
Traditional Beading and Leather work.
