I am a descendant of a number of halfbreed Hudson's Bay families who were first recorded in Moose Factory in the mid 1600s and spread westward to Red River and the Alberta foothills. Family names (alphabetically) include Anderson, Campbell, Carter, Chambers, Dahl, Davies, Desmarais, Ducharme, Dunn, Faye, Fraser, Gladman, Isbister, Martin, McDonnell, McKay, Moore, Mowat, Norquay, Pruden, Richards, Rowe, Sinclair, Spencer, Thomas, Truthwaite, Vincent, etc, etc, etc for a family tree total of over 4,500 individuals with 847 surnames.
