Being Metis has ment a great deal to me. i have only had my cards a year, but have know I was metis for my entire life. My mother always said she was part Cherokee, but the family denied it. My brothers and sisters of the Metis were able to document my family for me and I became registered in Canada and the U.S. I hope to state learning the Mohawk language in the future. I know that it is part of the Iriqouis Nation language. I have many tribal laws that I am sutying and am proud of who I am

I just wrote to Shirley, just got back last night from visting my son in Az. Cold and rainy out there. I had a great adventure in Sedona, oops, I forgot to tell Shirley about it. I went on a tour with a very Spiritual individual who took me to lots of Kevas, Im not sure how to spell that, but they look like small mts. but are actually man made to look like a pyramid. Up top was a small room to do Ceremonies.. One set that was side by side gave me chills. Very knowledgeable person. Blessings Betty
