Boozhoo/ Tansi/Annin/ Hello/ I am a Metis woman (9th generation). I am proud of my heritage, and enjoy reading of Metis of yesteryear.

Metis Family History:

My background is Cree, Ojibwe, Chippewa, Souix, French, Scotch, Irish and English. My grandfather (dad's dad) spoke 5 Languages: French, Cree, Ojibwe, Saulteau and English. He didn't think it was fair to teach us because no one else in the family spoke anything other than English and French and even with some of the Grandkids French was lost.
Riel is a cousin, but aren't we all related. My ancestors worked for both Hudson Bay Co. and Northwest Co.
