- About Me :
- I've been involved with my community for 5 years. I also attend Vancouver Island University and am the Aboriginal Student Representative for Vancouver Island University Student Union. I have worked over the past three years in creating Metis awareness on the campus and have made great progress in bringing the Metis to the table for the Aboriginal Services plan and the Aboriginal Advisory Committee. I will continue to work towards greater respect for the Metis here on campus and in the community.
- Metis Family History:
- My family goes back to 1600. Most notably would be Joseph Ouilette, who took part in the secret meetings that brought back Louis Riel for the North west rebellion. He fought alongside Gabriel Doumont and was killed on the front line at the battle of Batoche

Aboriginal Art Festival at V.I.U.
Hi Everybody, I'll be hosting An Aboriginal Arts Festival In late September at Vancouver Island University and I am looking for a few Metis artists to sell their art, jewelry, clothing etc..
