I know of one 2 hours from me. He isnt huge and he does all the tanning etc himself. He gets goat, deer, moose sometimes as well.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for however have you considered getting any traditionaly tanned moose hides?
We have some very talented folks in BC that tan the old way and produce a wonderful product.

Hi Tom
I am very interested in getting moose hide that are traditionaly tanned. I make moccasins by hand stitching and other things,like pipe and flute bags. I am using Elk hide at the moment that is comercially tanned. I have never has a resorce for the Traditionally tanned hides. If you have someone who would like to sell hides to me I would appreciate a contact.
