session (supplies provided) following the MacDonald Park, June 21st Aboriginal Day celebrations....

National Aboriginal Day Celebrations
(First Nations, Métis and Inuit)
When: Sunday, June 21, 2009
Where: Raft River Elementary
Time: 12 noon until 6:00 p.m.
This is a family event with fun activities for the whole family. There will be a concession, games, music, activities, local crafts, displays,
face painting, and so much more.

3 Days of entertainment and fun!
We are again welcoming families of all cultures to a; NO Drugs, NO Alcohol, Non Political event.
We are presenting Métis dancers, First Nations Pow-wow dancing, Métis Fiddlers and traditional food.
At our Traditional Hunting Camp (1860's) there will be displays of historic crafts, tipi raising, and child and adult games.
This year for the first time we will have games and displays for three days plus a Dinner and Dance Saturday night and a Jam session on
Thursday evening.
Church Service will be Sunday Morning in the Historic St Patrick’s Church right after the traditional Masters of Bannock breakfast.
We have lots of parking for R.V.'s in the Village Campground plus lots of room for tents or informal R.V. camping.
All prices are reasonable and affordable to families.

We had a wonderful time at the local parade in Clearwater on May 16th, woohoo....we won First Place for our Michif Metis Museum Float - and it was our first time entered in a parade up here....cool eh?....

Hi Everybody, I'll be hosting An Aboriginal Arts Festival In late September at Vancouver Island University and I am looking for a few Metis artists to sell their art, jewelry, clothing etc..
